The Lite Pedal seen to the left is the lightest
pedal on the market today. At a mere 35 grams each (approximately
1.2 oz) of rotating weight, Lite pedals by AeroLite use less physical
energy. The pedal is constructed of aerospace grade titanium 6A-4V,
and Turcite®. The bearing
surface is then hand finished. This pedal is also the strongest
on the market. They have been independently* stress-tested to over
3600 foot-pounds in a shear-crack test.

|
The cleat is designed of DuPont
Zytel® ST nylon and is formed to wrap around the pedal
with a maximum of 1320 pounds of tension to keep you attached
to the pedal until you are ready to get out. When you want
out, just lift the inside edge of your foot and you are
out. The cleat can be mounted to most popular shoes, including
the SPD floating mounts. Custom mounting is also available from
AeroLite.

When the cleat and pedal are placed together, they
are still the lightest on the market and weigh in at less than
100 grams for the pair (approximately 3.5 ounces). In addition
to being lighter than any other pedal on the market, they cost
less.

The clips may be mounted to the shoe in one of two ways. The
pedal may be screwed into an SPD mount on the shoe by using the
two machine screws in the bottom of the clip, as shown in the pedal
on the left, or it may be screwed directly to the sole of the shoe
using the four screws on the outside of the clip.
